This book is considered to be a landmark study of the chartists mentality and as such constitutes a large part of technical analysis as we know it today.  All classic paterns can be seen in this book (flags, h&s, triangles, trendlines, wedges, ect.).  This book as targeted at those with trading experience but will not be over the heads of those with a finance background and an interest in the subject.  The in depth discussion  offers a great refressher for those experienced in the science and plenty of ammo for a novice to understand the principles.  As with most encyclopedia type texts you will not find off the shelf implementable strategies here but you will find the foundations of the science which should get you thinking about your own.
